Welcome to Noor's Portfolio
I'm a user experience researcher at Microsoft, where I work on interactive television user interfaces. I conduct user research with everyday TV viewers and advocate for user experiences that meet their needs and expectations.
Prior to working in user research, I spent several years as a visual and interaction designer where I designed eLearning applications and built websites for various small organizations including an insurance company, Internet service provider, city government, chamber of commerce, and a number of professional and not-for-profit organizations.
I hold a master's degree in human-computer interaction from the University of Michigan School of Information. For my master's thesis, I studied how blogs impact the formation of relationships. I received my undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University in information technology and business.
Along with user research and design, my professional interests include social and collaborative software, entertainment technology, and health & fitness applications. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, taking photos, sketching and painting, and watching movies.
